FAQ

A few things to know

Talk to TIM
What is TIM?

TIM is an app for recording product origins, activities and environmental, social and governance (ESG) evidence. Producers, processors, brands, distributors and retailers can share records for partners and buyers to review together. TIM is developed by DO IN THAI.

How does TIM go beyond product traceability?

TIM connects a product’s origins with the lives and values behind it, including opportunities for women, forest care, shared benefits, culture, household finances and craft. Evidence of each partner’s work helps buyers consider people and nature when choosing a product.

Who is TIM for?

Producers, processors, brands, distributors, retailers, community enterprises and the organisations that work with them can use TIM to explain their role, share the stories behind products and discuss the evidence with partners and buyers.

Can I use TIM if I do not make the product myself?

Yes. Brands, processors and retailers can use TIM with producers and partners to share ingredient origins, purchasing agreements or their support for communities. Buyers can see what each producer and business contributes.

How do the TIM coffee and rice examples work?

Both examples have four steps: add your plot, record activities, create and share a report by link or QR code, then use the report to review evidence with the people involved. The coffee and rice records on this page are illustrative examples.

What do I need to get started?

You need a phone number to receive a one-time password (OTP) for sign-in. Have information about the work you want to share ready. For rice or coffee, prepare producer and plot details such as name, area and growing method. For work with partners or other products, talk to TIM about how to get started.

Do buyers need an account?

No. Buyers can open a published report through its link or QR code. If you have set a viewing password, they will need to enter it first.

Can I record activities beyond the field?

Yes. A product’s story can include forest care, women’s roles, shared income, local knowledge, community craft and household finances. You can record activities on the plot, off the plot and in the household, with notes and supporting images.

What is Verify together and who can participate?

Verify together means producers, partners and buyers can read reports and evidence, then discuss the records with the people involved. TIM has no voting or comment system for endorsing records. A TIM report does not grant certification or an ESG rating.

How can I ask about pricing or using TIM with partners?
